This morning's sunrise at St Michaels Mount, Cornwall, UK. I was hoping for more cloud, but used an 8 second exposure with a 10-stop Neutral Density filter and am pleased with the soft, bluer foreground (which was in shade) contrasting with the warmer main subject.

Great waves last week at Porthchapel Beach, near Porthcurno, Cornwall, UK. See them in UHD in my new Porthcurno Photoguide video - https://youtu.be/DO_67s2pgBo?si=FlolbUdowsFkhjPI
Sony A7RV, 100-400mm lens, 1/4000th sec at f/8, ISO100.
Great light last Monday at The Cheesewring, Stowes Hill, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, UK. A fabulous natural granite Tor 32 feet high.
Sony A7RV, 20-70mm lens, 1/350th sec at f/8, ISO100.
Yesterday at Hurlers Stone Circle, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, UK. If you don't go out in the rain you'll never catch rainbows.
Sony A7RV, 20-70mm lens, 1/350th sec at f/5.6, ISO100.
Last Winter at Perranporth, Cornwall, UK. If this mild, wet November's anything to go by, we won't be seeing any snow this year.
Sony A7RV, Tamron 28-75mm lens, 1/250th sec at f/8, ISO100.
This morning at Wheal Coates, Cornwall, UK. I had to wait a while for the sun, which shone briefly then was covered by cloud for much of the day.
Sony A7RV, 20-70mm lens @43mm, 1/90th sec at f/8, ISO100.

This morning (06/11/2023) at Wheal Coates, Cornwall, UK. Superb clouds and light; I got rained on, but worth getting wet for?
Sony A7RV, 20-70mm lens, 1/90th sec at f/8, ISO100.

Conditions like this suit Bodmin Moor perfectly. Sunny but with a darker, moody sky; not the beautiful blue I prefer in my images of the coast. I like this shot as it evokes Autumn with the Bracken turning brown. The huge granite column of the Cheesewring stands 32 feet high. Cornwall, UK. Sony A7RV, Tamron 28-75mm lens at 49mm, 1/350sec at f/8, ISO100. Focus stack of 3 images for superb sharpness.

Yesterday at Kennall Vale, Cornwall, UK. I love ferns, moss and streams. Some rain and some sun. Beautiful sounds of the stream and the occasional Grey Wagtail.
Sony A7RV, Tamron 28-75mm lens @49mm, 0.3 sec. @ f/8, three images auto focus-bracketed for superb sharpness.

Boulders last week at Porth Nanven, Cornwall, UK. I've not seen Nanven covered in so much seaweed; a lot of it is of the black slimy type which I avoided. But the green stuff is sublime. It'll mostly be gone during the storms of winter.
Sony A7RV, Tamron 28-75mm lens @54mm, 30th @ f/8, three images auto focus-bracketed for superb sharpness.
