BEST IMAGES OF THE YEAR; this was taken in May 2019. When I got to Wheal Coates (St Agnes, Cornwall) I was disappointed that the light wasn't better; I was hoping for strong side lighting. Yet this image is even better than the one I visualised! Using a professional  tilt/shift lens allowed me to get maximum sharpness, and also to avoid the Engine House from having that dreadful 'falling over backwards' distorted look that normal wide angle lenses have. Got to love those Sea Pinks!

BEST IMAGES OF THE YEAR; this was taken in March 2019. Not a spectacular image, but again the result of careful planning; I timed it so that I'd be the first person in there just as the tide was going out, to avoid footprints in the sand.

BEST IMAGES OF THE YEAR; this was taken in February 2019. I feel there's a better image to come from here, but this was a good start. The result of careful planning; I wanted side lighting on Wheal Coates, good waves and some of the beach visible. The people were an unexpected bonus which give the image scale. It started selling straight away.
