Always a pleasure to visit Clevedon at sunset with a high tide; people line up along the seafront to watch the sun go down, its a real occasion. After starting grey, this sunset turned out very well - http://www.tonyhowell.co.uk/clevedonpier.htm

July 18th 2013: - It was good to escape the hot weather in England - Scotland was reassuringly cooler! Just a short trip of a few days and every image
was hand-held as it was a family break. I certainly missed my tripod but hope to return soon. See the rest - http://www.tonyhowell.co.uk/photographsofscotland.htm

Just back from a very hot Cornwall - what weather we're having, it's great. No cloud though, which means I switch from regular landscapes to night and infrared photography. Perfect for tin mines! I just love them, so photogenic and brimming with history. This one also features part of The Milky Way

Infrared Trees and Ferns
Took my camera rain cover out for a walk through Priors Wood, Bristol. Ferns look so good when wet and with raindrops pouring down I had no choice but to use a raincover initially. Shooting in the rain is good for practicing patience, its a right fiddle! After the rain I had the place to myself, and the rest of the world disappeared. Just me and the trees and ferns. Just doing it for the love of it. This image was shot hand-held lying on the ground (Canon 5D Mk II converted to infrared, 17mm TS-E tilt-shift lens). See the rest:-
