The Bluebells are late this year but are peaking now, and looking good. I slept in the car and it was soooo cold! Last night by torchlight at Micheldever Woods, Hampshire : -

It's Fern time.....with the new Canon 6D

Ferns are uncurling everywhere, I love this time of year. Bluebells will be peaking in a week or so. I'm enjoying the new Canon 6D very much and hope to do a review sometime soon. If you're thinking of going full-frame, the 6D is a great way to start. Love the smooth shutter, horizon level and Aspect Ratios (so you can compose in 4:3, 5x4, Square etc). It's so much better than the 5D II. Still waiting for built in flash, higher resolution and swivel screen, but
Canon don't agree with what I want in a camera, which is why Nikon are doing so well with the D800E

Quick trip to Wales

At last I could get out and take some pictures! I just love the Tintern area of Wales, so I went to get some infrared shots of St Marys Church

7th May 2013: - beautiful late sunlight on the west front of the Cathedral this evening, shot with the amazing Canon TS-E 17mm Tilt-Shift lens, which corrects for the bendy 'falling over backwards' look of normal wide lenses
